Sally Ferguson came to PR from journalism. She honed her skills in the newsroom of the Washington Post. A career as a freelance feature writer was followed by account management and group supervisory roles at top Madison Avenue PR firms including the legendary Carl Byoir & Associates, Creamer Dickson Basford and Ketchum, Inc. She was PR director for the SoHo-based fashion group Vogue-Butterick.
With her husband, David Caras, she founded her own firm in 1985. A certified Master Gardener through Cornell, Sally has been able to combine her PR/journalism savvy and branding skills with a lifelong passion for gardening. She is a nationally-known garden writer and has appeared often on national television shows such as Martha, the Today show, CBS Early Show, and more.
Sally earned a B.A. in American Studies from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. She is from Deephaven, Minnesota.

David Caras heads the agency’s video and Internet production subsidiaries Electric Image and GardenNewsBreak. A veteran video producer with more than 25 years experience, he has been involved in website development since 1994.
David began his career as an actor and writer. He appeared in regional stock and dinner theaters, often supplementing his income as a bartender at some legendary Manhattan watering holes. He was a freelance business writer and a contributor to Readers Digest Books for many years. He served as a contract employee and speechwriter for the Agricultural Counselor of the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France. He is fluent in French.
He co-founded Ferguson Caras in 1985. In 2003, he co-produced and directed the independent film Found Money which was featured in nine film festivals around the country and on public and cable television.
David holds a B.F.A. in theater from Adelphi University with a focus on directing. He is from Fairfax, Virginia.
